Baby Massage
Learn the age old art of baby massage to soothe and bond.
It’s all about the bond.
From the moment your baby arrived, your touch became their safest, most familiar sense. Did you know that touch was the very first sense they developed in the womb - at just 8 weeks?
By incorporating nurturing touch and connection into your daily routine, you’re not just providing relaxation - you’re strengthening your growing bond, promoting secure attachment and positively wiring your baby’s developing nervous system. All of this impacts your ability to influence the foundations of their mental wellbeing for life.
Whether you’re looking for a beautiful bonding practice, natural ways to ease fussiness, or just a moment of stillness in your busy day, baby massage is a gift - for both of you.
Keep reading to find out how you can learn baby massage at an upcoming course- whether in person or from the comfort of your home.

Meet your guide & massage instructor
Hi, I’m Mazz - a postpartum doula, infant massage instructor, and passionate advocate for nurturing mums and babies. My journey with baby massage began in 2018 during a cold London winter when I attended local classes with my 2 month old daughter. Something magical happened in those classes - the world around us would stop, my busy new parent mind would calm and I’d experience what it felt like to be ‘in-sync’ with my baby during these moments of uninterrupted connection. Those quiet, bonding moments became a cherished part of our daily rhythm, and to this day, massage remains a special way I connect with both of my children.
When I became a postpartum doula in Australia and welcomed my son, I realised how few opportunities there were to learn this beautiful practice in Sydney. That’s when I knew I wanted to bring baby massage to more parents - first in my local community, and now, through my online courses, to parents everywhere. I’ve had the privilege of sharing baby massage with hundreds of new parents and I can’t wait to continue sharing this practice with many more.
What makes my approach unique? While massage is a huge component, I don’t just teach massage - I hold space for you as a parent. As a postpartum professional, I offer not just techniques, but support, reassurance, and wisdom on all aspects of postpartum, early parenthood and nurturing your baby. Whether in person or online, my goal is to help you feel confident, connected, and deeply attuned to your baby. I can’t wait to meet you!
FAQs
-
My courses are perfect for babies aged from around 6 weeks to crawling. That’s the sweet spot for learning massage in a class environment and enjoying a dedicated bonding ritual before they become more mobile.
-
That’s completely normal - and expected! My classes are baby-led, and mother-centred which means you’re encouraged to respond to your baby’s needs however you need to. You can feed, cuddle, rock, or just watch. I repeat strokes each week and provide a massage guide so you can practice at home when your baby is most receptive. The aim is to absorb as much as possible in class but then embed the ritual at home in a way that works for you both.
-
Each course runs for 5 weeks, with one 1-hour class per week. You’ll learn a full-body baby massage sequence in stages, plus:
A printed massage guide (in-person) or downloadable PDF (online)
A bottle of baby-safe massage oil (in-person)
Weekly discussions around early parenthood and bonding
Gentle relaxation exercises for parents
Access to a private WhatsApp community for support, resources and encouragement between classes
Time to connect with other mums in a warm, supportive space.
-
You’ll learn a complete sequence of soothing strokes to practice with your baby, plus how to adapt the strokes as your baby grows. You’ll also explore:
How to understand your baby’s cues and behavioural states
The best time for baby massage for you and your baby
How to nurture your own nervous system alongside your baby’s
Gentle settling techniques, rhythm-building, and ways to support your baby beyond massage
Weekly reflection discussions to support your parenting journey.
-
That’s more common than you might think - and this course is a gentle, supportive way to build that bond in a safe and non-judgemental space. Through nurturing touch and presence, baby massage can help you feel more attuned, confident, and connected, even if bonding has felt difficult so far.
-
In-person courses are mother-centered but I do occasionally have Dads join and they are most welcome. The in-person courses are purchased for one parent and baby but, space permitting, I welcome partners to drop in for a session if they are keen.
For online courses, both parents are welcome to join live, and the techniques can be easily practised and revised together via replays.
-
Life with a baby is unpredictable - I get it! If you miss a session, you’ll always get a chance to revise the new strokes at the following class. I also offer the opportunity to catch up with me before or after class the following week.
For online courses, replays are available for a limited time, so you can catch up at your own pace.
-
Both courses teach the same massage sequence, guided live by me. The key differences:
In-person courses are held in Sydney with small group sizes, homemade treats, printed guides, oil included in and a calm, cosy space.
Online courses are accessible Australia-wide, include a digital guide and additional resources and class recordings will continue to be available as a replay for a limited time.
-
Absolutely! If you’re expecting and want to join a future round, add your name to the waitlist to be the first to hear about upcoming in-person and online courses. It’s a lovely thing to plan ahead for in your postpartum and classes book out quickly.
-
Yes! For in-person classes, if you are coming with a support person to massage both twins at the same time (booking two places on the mat) please get in touch for my twin rate via mazz@thebondwellbeing.com. If you are planning on massaging just one of the twins at each class (booking one place on the mat) then the regular price applies. You may still want to come with a support person who can hold the other twin while you massage.
For online, there is no difference in cost. This is a great option for twin mums struggling to leave the house or without an extra pair of hands to help out at the in person classes.
-
Absolutely! People often purchase a gift voucher for friends, family or colleagues. Please get in touch with me directly via mazz@thebondwellbeing.com to organise payment for the digital voucher. They are valid for 6 months and once purchased your recipient can simply get in touch once they are ready to book a class.
“My daughter and I loved Mazz’s baby massage class and looked forward to it each week. Not only was the baby massage a beautiful way to bond with my baby, but Mazz’s gentle approach to facilitating discussions on the highs and lows of new parenthood saw us all bonding and supporting each other as a group”.

It is a great opportunity to stop and pause during a busy week or day, almost like a mediation for both baby and mother! It’s an informative and comfortable way to learn techniques to settle your baby. It also provides a relaxed, welcoming space to socialise with other mothers.

I loved my baby massage course with Mazz and cannot recommend it enough. Mazz is incredibly kind and has an amazing ability to normalise all experiences and make you feel comfortable in her space. The massage itself was enjoyable for both my baby and myself and helped us to grow closer. A must-do for new mums and a great way to meet others in the same season of life.

Baby massage has been a very special and unique way for me to connect with my baby. I absolutely love watching his reactions to each move and his interactions with the other babies in class. It's a really wonderful way to slow down and get to know your baby. Baby massage is now a part of our daily routine and I couldn't recommend it more to new parents.
